ABOUT ABAOC

The Asian Business Association was established in 1992 in Santa Ana, California.

ABAOC is a non-profit corporation governed by a Board of Directors. Members, officers and directors come from many cultural backgrounds and work harmoniously together to cultivate business opportunities for its members.

THE MISSION OF ABAOC

To provide Asian Americans the opportunity to gain access to economic advancement through networking, education, and community representation.

THE GOALS OF ABAOC

To provide a forum for members to develop business relationships with each other.

To educate the members about business opportunities and support programs offered by major corporations and public agencies.

To bring together different Asian ethnic groups on issues that mutually affect their businesses and professional interests.

To inform members about existing and proposed public programs that may have impact to Asian businesses.

To voice the views of Asian businesses to local, state, and federal government for consideration in public programs and policies.

Association of Scientists and Engineers of Indian Descent (ASEI-SoCal) - www.aseisocal.org

ASEI SoCal is a local chapter of the international non-profit professional organization of engineers, students and professionals primarily engaged in the pursuit of the enhancement of technical, professional, educational, and economic benefits to its members, pave the way for global networking and exchange of knowledge with other countries. Any Engineer, Architect or Professional in the Allied field of INDIAN ORIGIN in good professional standing shall be eligible to become a member of the society.

Chinese-American Engineers and Scientists Association of Southern California (CESASC) - www.cesasc.org

The Chinese-American Engineers and Scientists Association of Southern California (CESASC) is one of the largest and most established Chinese-American professional organizations in Southern California, founded in 1962, dedicated to promoting the interests, aspirations and professional excellence of Chinese-American Engineers and Scientists. CESASC provides career and educational advancement opportunities, technical exchange, fellowship and community service.

CESASC is a non-profit, non-political and professional organization, which is financed by membership dues and donations.

Leadership Education for Asian Pacifics (LEAP) - www.leap.org

LEAP’s mission is to achieve full participation and equality for Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders through leadership, empowerment, and policy.

Since its founding in 1982, Leadership Education for Asian Pacifics, Inc. (LEAP) has been intent on "growing leaders" within the Asian and Pacific Islander (API) communities across the country. When LEAP opened its doors 27 years ago, it had a simple yet powerful idea: that in order for API communities to realize their full potential and to foster robust participation in the larger democratic process, those communities would have to begin producing leaders who could advocate and speak on their behalf.

A national, nonprofit organization, LEAP works to achieve its mission by: Developing people, because leaders are made, not born; Informing society, because leaders know the issues; and Empowering communities, because leaders are grounded in strong, vibrant communities.

Organization of Chinese Americans, Orange County (OCA-OC) - www.oca-oc.org

Founded in 1973, OCA is a national organization dedicated to advancing the social, political, and economic well-being of Asian Pacific Americans in the United States. OCA is dedicated to securing the rights of Asian Pacific American citizens and permanent residents through legislative and policy initiatives at all levels of the government. OCA aims to embrace the hopes and aspirations of the nearly 2 million citizens and residents of Chinese ancestry in the United States as well as to better the lives of the 10 million Asian Americans across the country.

OCA’s goals are:
• to advocate for social justice, equal opportunity and fair treatment;
• to promote civic participation, education, and leadership;
• to advance coalitions and community building; and
• to foster cultural heritage.

To achieve these goals, OCA is engaged in organizing its 80 chapters and affiliates across the nation to develop both leadership and community involvement. OCA chapters and our organizational and college affiliates are establishing strong local programs in all parts of the country.

OCA’s base in Washington , D.C. gives the national office an effective vantage point for monitoring legislation and policy issues affecting Asian Pacific Americans. In addition, OCA is able to build national support and to work in coalition with other national groups around issues affecting Asian Pacific Americans.

Young Generation Asian Professionals (YGAP) - www.ygap.org

Young Generation Asian Professionals' mission is to create an atmosphere where diverse professionals can come together for personal development, satisfy their cultural curiosity, enjoy social networking events and volunteer for community involvement with a vision of promoting and enhancing its members’ appreciation for Asian heritage. YGAP is dedicated to enrichment of young professionals through professional development, empowerment through personal growth, and promotion of Asian cultural awareness.
