To further enhance the NAAAP-OC experience, members are encouraged to join a committee.  If there are aspects of NAAAP-OC in which you are interested, we welcome you to contact the committee chair and express your interest.

Committee teams are NAAAP-OC's way to help professionally develop those who wish to be more involved in the great things that we do.  Each committee is responsible for promoting one or more aspects of our mission. Committees are headed by an accomplished NAAAP-OC officer.

Administrative Committee - Christine Huey
If you’re interested in operations and are good with recordkeeping or pride yourself on your organizational abilities, then the Administrative Committee is for you. Learn the details of all that goes on in a non-profit organization!

Finance Committee - Lawrence Hwang/Cheryl Villaruz
If you’re interested in finance and are good with bookkeeping or pride yourself on keeping track of numbers, then the Finance Committee is for you. Learn the details of how to manage funding requests and budget proposals for a non-profit organization.

Community Outreach Committee - Margaret Lim/Milo Amorsolo
The Community Outreach Committe serves to provide members with opportunities to connect with the community through volunteerism.  If you want to develop your leadership skills from planning and organizing community service projects, please join us. Your ideas in making commmunity service events fun and purposeful are welcome. Community Outreach also encompasses all aspects of outreaching, developing relationships, and maintaining relationships with various community organizations. Special Events Committee - Elizabeth Yang/Diana Reyes
Plan and coordinate special events including a charity golf tournament and an annual awards gala. The committee’s purpose is to provide networking opportunities and exposure to members and prospective members to expand their professional and social networks.

Professional Development Committee - Pat Summers
The Professional Development committee coordinates seminars, educational workshops, and speaking engagements, and gathers resources to help NAAAP members further their leadership and personal skills that are necessary to meet their professional and individual goals.

Strategic Marketing/Creative Design Committee - Misa Nguyen/Eve Songdej
The Marketing/Creative Design Committee raises the exposure and awareness of NAAAP-OC within the community through print, email, newsletters, website, etc. Some of the goals of this committee include: maintaining NAAAP-OC's image, recruiting new members, and promoting NAAAP-OC events. The committee is also responsible for supporting the communications between NAAAP-OC's officers, committee chairs, members, corporate sponsors, partner organizations, and the media.

Membership Committee - David Wang
Are you a people person?  The membership committee interacts with all members and guests of NAAAP-OC.  Help make members and guests feel welcome, appreciated, and loved.  Explore your creative side in helping recruit and maintain new members, and further developing member relations.  This is a great opportunity to get to know everyone in NAAAP-OC.

Corporate Relations Committee - Kelly Chen
Serves to develop long-term relationships with current and prospective corporate sponsors via business networking. Members will build on a key component of leadership, the art of selling. The committee seeks to develop corporate partnerships as sources of financial support, business contacts, and career opportunities.

Technology Committee - Adam Hanson
Maintains the technical infrastructure of NAAAP-OC to ensure that board members can execute their objectives to serve Asian American professionals in the community. Provides features to facillitate users in navigating our website and finding the necessary resources.  Updates and maintains current features to keep information up-to-date.  If you think you have what it takes to build or direct the use of technology, this is the committee for you.
