The Orange County chapter of the National Association of Asian American Professionals is a 501(c)(3) all-volunteer, Pan-Asian American, professional organization that promotes the career advancement and leadership development of Asian American professionals in all fields through networking, respecting Asian multiculturalism, and supporting diversity and community service.
As part of a national organization, NAAAP is the largest and fastest growing Asian American professional organization in the U.S. and Canada. Through its committees, members can participate in many activities that join other Asian American professionals in community service, professional development and networking activities.
NAAAP is the network for Asian American leaders. The NAAAP Vision: “We make leaders!”

Phillip Hoang received degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and a minor in Economics from the University of California, Riverside. He is a Senior Software Engineer for Raytheon Company, Space and Airborne Systems. His leadership roles include: President of the Raytheon Asian Pacific Association (RAPA), founding member of the South Bay Asian American Network (SBAAN), student President of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineer (IEEE), student vice-president for the Computer Science Undergraduate Association (CSUA), and Vice-President of Service for Alpha Phi Omega Service fraternity.

Carrie Gan is the Executive Director for Learn~Lead~Succeed and Program Manager at Spectrum Knowledge, a research and training firm for Fortune 500 companies. Some of Spectrum Knowledge’s clients include Boeing, Kimberly-Clark, Northrop Grumman, McDonald’s, Symantec, and Raytheon. Carrie is responsible for managing all curriculum development, educational product design teams, as well as conducting industry-based research groups.
Carrie is a Los Angeles Chinatown native who is passionate about promoting the strengths in all communities. She has taught within low income inner-city schools for the past four years. In addition, Carrie has devoted much of her time to develop Asian American communities through her roles as VP of Programming for the NAAAP-OC, Special Events Chair for Asian Professional Exchange (APEX), board member of Organization of Chinese Americans (OCA-OC), and the youngest board member in the Asian Business Association (ABA-OC). Integrating her passion for education and event planning, Carrie has organized many conferences, charity dinners, and fundraisers. In 2007, Carrie organized and hosted a financial conference with Nobel Laureate Harry Markowitz and Forbes Magazines' renowned columnist and investor Kenneth Fisher. Later in 2007, Carrie also partnered with Heroes’ actress Hayden Panettiere to build PanettiereCloset.com, a charitable website which raises funds to benefit local charities and, more specifically, marine ecosystem preservation.
Carrie completed a Master's Degree in Education from UCLA as a Stone Scholar, a leadership award given to less than 3% of applicants, and received a Bachelor's in Economics from UCSD. Carrie is currently serving the community on the 2010 Miss Los Angeles Chinatown Court.
Tony Cao

Tony Cao is an Aeronautical Engineer at Worldwide Aeros Corporation, a leading lighter-than-air aircraft manufacturing company. Since 2005, he has also worked for Northrop Grumman and REMEC Defense and Space where his jobs included Wire Harness Design, Instrumentation, Sustaining, and Mechanical Engineering.
Tony Cao is an only child and a second-generation Vietnamese-American who was raised by his mother. From her, he learned how to be strong and hard working at a very young age. Tony Cao always dreamed about being innovative within the engineering industry and his dream came true when he received his Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of California, San Diego.
Besides innovation, Tony Cao is very passionate about professional development and currently holds the position of Vice-President of Operations for the National Association of Asian American Professionals, Orange County Chapter (NAAAP-OC). He was one of the founding members that started up NAAAP-San Diego and has held positions of Secretary, Membership Chair, and Historian for the organization.

Christine Huey was born and raised in Anaheim Hills, CA and is a third generation Chinese-American. She is California-educated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Master of Science Degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California. She has worked as a Software Engineer for The Boeing Company in Anaheim, SafeNet Mykotronx in Torrance, and now Thales-Raytheon Systems in Fullerton. Her work has ranged from command & control systems to secure telephones to radar protocol converters and more. In the community, Christine volunteers with various organizations, such as Habitat for Humanity and Paint Your Heart Out. She strives to spread the volunteer-ism bug to anyone and everyone she encounters. In her spare time, she enjoys tennis, snowboarding, reading, traveling, and wine.
Lawrence Hwang

Lawrence Hwang was born in Taiwan and raised in Orange County, CA. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern California. After graduation, he worked for Electronic Data Systems (EDS) where he was part of the team that implemented the fingerprint system for the California welfare program.
Lawrence now works as VP of Engineering at a security company where he is responsible for product development and manufacturing. His job frequently takes him throughout Asia to collaborate with his company’s international engineers to create a line of innovative products. To date, he has filed several U.S. and international patents.
Lawrence is also deeply involved in promoting the study of Chinese literature and propagating its importance in both Chinese and American society. In his free time, Lawrence enjoys reading, martial arts, golfing, and mountain biking. His latest hobby is photography.
Lawrence Hwang is currently the treasurer for NAAAP-OC and enjoys having the opportunity to bring his management skills to help lay a foundation of success for the organization.
Diana Reyes Grant Administration Chair Special Events Co-Chair diana@naaapoc.org Elizabeth Yang Special Events Co-Chair elizabeth@naaapoc.org At the age of 19, Elizabeth Yang earned her Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. She immediately began working at Raytheon as a radar designer for the B-2 Bomber and attended evening law school at the University of La Verne College of Law on a full scholarship. During her time at Raytheon, Elizabeth was President of the Raytheon Asian Pacific Association (RAPA).
After graduating with her JD/MBA and passing the California Bar Exam, Elizabeth moved down to Irvine where she is currently working for Howrey LLP, an international law firm with over 600 attorneys. She specializes in intellectual property law, with an emphasis on patent litigation. Her practice focuses on a variety of technologies, including electronics, hardware, software, variable data printers, fingerprinting sensors, data packet processing, network security systems, microprocessors, and automated telephonic systems.
Elizabeth enjoys traveling, meeting new people, and giving back to the community. She co-led of the Marketing Committee for the 2008 NAAAP Convention and is currently the Special Events Chair for NAAAP-OC's Charity Golf Tournament. In addition to NAAAP, she is also involved with various other community organizations, including the Orange County Bar Association (OCBA), the Southern California Chinese Lawyers Association (SCCLA), as well as the Orange County Asian American Bar Association (OCAABA). Karen Pham University Relations Chair karen@naaapoc.org Karen Pham is pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with the concentration in Accounting at California State University, Fullerton. She currently works in financial services helping people to become financial independent.
Karen always strives to learn new things and to enhance her leadership skills. Her passion is to use what she has learned to help people. This year, she is the lead coordinator of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance at CSU Fullerton. The program is desired to provide free tax preparation to low-income families / individuals. She is also involved in other student organizations, including the CSUF Accounting Society and the Student Leadership Institute. In her spare time, Karen enjoys listening to music, hanging out with friends, and collecting different coins. She loves to be around with other people because it is her opportunity to learn different personality traits. He immigrated to the United States in 1985 and grew up mostly in Southern California.
Milo went to junior high in West Covina and attended high school in San Diego, before attending college at the University of California, Riverside where he majored in Electrical Engineering and minored in Computer Science. He graduated in 2001 and began working at Frontier Systems. From 2002-2005, he worked at Geotest, Inc before moving to his current position at TC Communications, Inc where he does a lot of firmware programming for networking applications.
Milo’s hobbies are drinking coffee while reading at Starbucks, hanging out and going to dinner with friends, watching sports and rooting for his favorite teams, or just going to a friend’s house and just chilling. Pat Summers Professional Development Chair pat@naaapoc.org Pat is a Principal Systems Engineer at Raytheon Network Centric Systems (NCS), Fullerton, California, and she has 30+ years of engineering experience in software, systems, hardware, communications, IT, and engineering processes (CMI, IPDS) in the Aerospace defense industry.
She is a very active supporter of Diversity and Inclusion and started the Fullerton Diversity Council in 1998. Prior to 1998, she was active on the El Segundo Diversity Council. In Fullerton, she leads the Diversity Council and has been instrumental in mentoring and starting/supporting various Employee Resource Groups (ERGs): RWN (Raytheon Women’s Network), YES!Net (Young Employees Support Network), RAPA (Raytheon Asian Pacific Association), RAYBEN (Raytheon Black Employees Network), GLBTA (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and Allies), HOLA (Hispanic Opportunities for Leadership Advancement), and MEENA (Middle Eastern Employees Network Association). She is currently serving as the Fullerton Site Diversity and Inclusion Contact (SDIC) to help promote diversity and inclusion awareness, to develop a diversity toolkit, to develop better communication, to support the regional Rdiversity Summit, to roll out the Diversity “Competency Model”, and to encourage the ERGs to help improve the Raytheon business and Return on Investment (ROI).
Pat received the Raytheon 2008 NCS Excellence in Operations and Quality Award on the “Trust and Respect Summit Team”. This award recognizes specific significant performance contributions that: enhance Mission Assurance, improve Raytheon Operations/Performance Excellence culture and reputation, demonstrate long-term impact on Raytheon’s competitive position, business results, and reputation for outstanding cycle time, lean processes, and customer satisfaction, and accelerate knowledge transfer.
Pat is currently serving as the RAPA National President for 2008-2010, and she previously served as the the Vice-President of RAPA National from 2006-2008; RAPA has 12 chapters throughout the U.S. As a 2003 alumna of LEAP PPS (Leadership Education for Asian Pacifics – Path to Professional Success), she has sponsored LEAP educators and diversity leaders to speak at the Fullerton site for employee leadership development. Each year, the RWN and HOLA ERGs sponsor “Introduce a Girl to Engineering” and “Introduce a Boy to Engineering” day at the site where students (5th through 8th grades) learn about engineering theory and concepts. In addition, all of the ERGs support the Fullerton School District and have many young students visit the plant semi-annually to learn about engineering principles. Pat has been on the steering committees to help organize and plan these events to reach out to young ‘future’ engineers. Pat is also a member of the Raytheon People Council and the Engineering Diversity Council.
Pat has a double Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from UCLA and currently resides in Huntington Beach, CA.

Jessica was introduced to NAAAP during college, where she served as a volunteer with NAAAP Columbus. After graduating, she moved to Chicago and joined the team as Director of Special events with NAAAP Chicago and Vice Chair of the 2010 NAAAP National Leadership Retreat. Now, after moving to Los Angeles, she is excited to join the NAAAP-OC team and continue contributing to the APIA community! Jessica currently works for BCBG Max Azria as a Distribution Business Analyst. Previously, she worked for Schneider Electric in their Operations Advanced Development program, completing rotations as a Sr. Process Improvement Analyst, Buyer/Planner and Manufacturing Engineer. Jessica is a graduate of Miami University (Ohio) with a B.S. in Supply Chain & Operations Management and a minor in Chinese. A 2nd generation Taiwanese American, Jessica is a Midwestern girl at heart and a Buckeye fan! She enjoys playing tennis and violin in community orchestras. Jessica is also an avid reader and loves to cook and travel!

Kelly Chen is a financial services professional assisting clients in the areas of tax-savings, retirement plans, insurance, and investments. A local to Southern California, Kelly obtained her Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Irvine with an emphasis in Business Management, Economy, and Diversity. With a passion for business and finance, Kelly is also the Treasurer for the Inland Empire Asian Business Association (IEABA). In her spare time, Kelly loves to snowboard, travel the world, and take care of her animals.

Linda Lee attended the University of Washington in Seattle and received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing. Currently, Linda is an Account Executive at the IW Group, Inc., a leading full-service marketing agency that specializes in reaching Asian and Pacific-Islander American (APIA) markets. She services several of the agency’s multi-million dollar advertising accounts including Farmers Insurance and Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E). Her many responsibilities involve managing the account’s advertising campaigns from the planning stage to the execution stage.
In her free time, Linda likes to consider herself a culinary adventurist and tries her hand in interior decoration for her home in Anaheim.

Misa Nguyen is an Orange County native and alumna of California State University, Fullerton with a degree in Criminal Justice and Communications: Print Journalism. Her Marketing and Communications background includes: interning at Fisker Coachbuild, LLC, a specialty automotive and design company known for the Fisker Tramonto, Latigo and Karma and copywriting for Dreambox Creations, an internet consulting firm for clients including: In N' Out, Benihana, Real Mex Foods, etc.
Misa is now in search of other career prospectives that will allow her to utilize her creativity with words. She is currently the Strategic Marketing Chair for NAAAP-OC and a student of Cold Tofu: an IMPROV Comedy class that allows you to think on your feet and adapt to all circumstances. In her spare time, she practices reading and writing in Vietnamese.

Tri Le is a first generation Vietnamese-American. He began volunteering for non-profit philanthropic organizations for the past 15 years that serves the community in leadership roles to promote Asian American cultural awareness throughout the California region. In his spare time, Tri enjoys talking about cars, snowboarding, traveling, computers and his obsession with electronic gadgets. Tri enjoys volunteering his philanthropic time on projects that focus on education, health, direct humanitarian and cultural exchange causes. Tri holds a bachelor's degree from the University of California at Berkeley in Anthropology. He currently works as a Senior Consultant for VMware in Palo Alto, CA and currently resides in Torrance, CA.

Kelly Eom received her Bachelor of Science from Caltech (California Institute of Technology) and received her Master of Health Administration from USC (University of Southern California ). Currently, she is a Consultant for Kaiser Permanente at the Southern California Regional Offices. In the past, she has been the Director of Marketing & Admissions at Carehouse, a 174 bed Skilled Nursing Facility under Skilled Healthcare, a Project Consultant for Navigant Consulting, Inc., and has worked in various other organizations in the healthcare industry since 1998.
She has worked on the 2008 and 2000 NAAAP National Conventions and has served on the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival (hosted by Visual Communications) Honorary Board since 2003, on the Board of Asian Professional Exchange (APEX), on Project by Project Committees, on the Board of Southern California Korean College Students Association, on Korean American Coalition's College Leadership Conference Planning Committee, and on the Honorary Board for Korean Youth and Community Center. Before joining the 2008 NAAAP National Convention planning team she has volunteered her time to other community-based organizations, which include the Asian Pacific Health Care Venture, Korean American Coalition, Korean Youth and Community Center, her church as well as healthcare facilities like UCLA Medical Center and the USC-LA County Hospital.

David K. Lee is the Configuration and Data Manager of Enterprise Configuration and Information Management for Northrop Grumman Space Technology. He is responsible for the overall configuration and data management support to various major programs and projects. He is currently supporting the National Polar Orbit Environmental Satellite Systems Program. David has worked on the Earth Observing Systems: Aqua and Aura, James Webb Space Telescope, Advanced Technology Programs, Advanced Mission Programs, Space Radar, and Airborne Laser.
Prior to joining Northrop Grumman, David has worked as a Contract Configuration and Data Manager at the Space and Missile Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base and a Member of Technical Staff/Engineering Associate for Hughes Communications, Inc. and GRC International, Inc.
David is also the Chair of the Asian Pacific Professional Network, a diversity network group, at Northrop Grumman Space Technology. He leads the affinity group by organizing and supporting professional development, management development, leadership development, mentoring programs, cultural awareness, and community involvement and networking events. He created the South Bay Asian American Network by bringing together the Asian Pacific American affinity groups from the local aerospace and defense companies. David is an executive board member of various non profit organizations supporting the increase in the diversity leadership of Asian Pacific Americans. David was the award recipient of the first Asian Pacific American Achievement Award as well as the Community Advocate of the Year.
David has a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with a specialty in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management from California State University, Northridge. He earned his Government Contract Management designation from University of California, Los Angeles. He is also a Certified International Configuration Manager and a Graduate of the Leadership Development Program, Leadership Education for Asian Pacifics, Inc.
David and his wife, Tiffany, and their two children, Kaitlyn and Kyle, reside in Fullerton, California.

George Lim is an Engineer/Scientist in Mechanical Systems at the Boeing Company. He took part in the development of a broad array of aerospace systems from commercial aircraft to Ground Based Missile Defense, airborne/ground radar, and naval defense systems. While a manager, he led a diverse team of design and analysis engineers in several advance defense system programs.
As the lead founder, he paved the way for the first of many Affinity Groups at the Anaheim site by setting up the Boeing Asian American Professional Association. He served as the Enterprise Officer of the Boeing Asian American Professional Association, with membership of 3500 across the country. Currently, he is a Lead involved with Enterprise Diversity, Affinity Groups, Community Outreach, Employee Involvement and as a Diversity Change Agent at the Boeing Company.
He and his team received a Boeing Global Achievement Award for undertaking a leadership role on a multi-Affinity Group community service project. In the promotion of leadership, he serves on the Advisory Board of the University of California at Los Angeles Extension Technical Management Program.
With a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering at California State University Los Angeles and post-graduate work in Engineering at the University of Southern California, he has expanded his education to include several certificates: in Systems Engineering Fundamentals Program from California Institute of Technology, 21st Century Diverse Leadership Program from UCLA Extension, and Technical Management Program from UCLA Extension.
His personal interests include fishing, golf, tennis, guitar, foreign travel and languages.

Angela E. Oh Western Justice Center Foundation Angela E. Oh is an attorney, teacher, and public lecturer best known for her role as spokesperson for the Korean American community after the 1992 Los Angeles Riots and her position on President Bill Clinton's One America Initiative. She is a graduate of University of California, Los Angeles, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts and Masters in Public Health degrees. Her Juris Doctorate is from King Hall, the University of California, Davis School of Law.
In 1992, Ms. Oh gained national prominence as a spokesperson and mediator for the Asian American community in connection with the Los Angeles riots. In June 1997, she was appointed by President Bill Clinton to the President's Initiative on Race. She served as part of a seven-member Advisory Board to the President in an effort directed at examining how race, racism, and racial differences have affected the United States. Oh has also designed and made presentations for businesses and organizations seeking to prevent claims of discrimination and harassment. She has provided services as a consent decree monitor in matters involving the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission as an external investigator for claims of discrimination or harassment in employment, and as a private consultant to leaders faced with discrimination or harassment cases in their organizations.
Oh was the Chair of U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer's Federal Judicial Nominations Committee for two years, she was a Lawyer Delegate to the Ninth Circuit Judicial Conference, and served as a member of the Federal Magistrate Judge Selection Panel in the Central District of California, for three years. Between 1998 and 2002, Ms. Oh left the full-time practice of law to study, teach, and write. Her speeches and writings reflect the opportunities and challenges that diversity presents. Ms. Oh's lectures have taken her into both national and international arenas, including China, Korea, the Middle East, Northern Ireland, and the United Kingdom. Ms. Oh has taught at the University of California, Irvine, University of Southern California, UCLA, and other institutions. In 2002, she finished a collection of essays entitled Open: One Woman's Journey, published by UCLA's Asian American Studies Department. She is also an ordained Priest, Zen Buddhist Priest - Rinzai Sect. Ms. Oh is currently interim Executive Director for the Western Justice Foundation. Bill Imada IW Group Bill Imada is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the IW Group (formerly Imada Wong Communications Group), a full-service communications firm that specializes in the growing multicultural markets here in the U.S. The IW Group was ranked the seventh fastest growing public relations agency in the U.S. by PR Week (2002) and is among the top Asian American advertising firms in this country according to Advertising Age (2005).
With more than a decade of experience in marketing, public relations, advertising and training, Mr. Imada and his company have and continue to represent some of the top global brands, including Farmers Group, Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Nike, McDonald's Corporation, Merrill Lynch, Washington Mutual, GlaxoSmithKline, Blue Cross, Wal-Mart Stores and UPS. The IW Group also represents a number of prominent government agencies, including the California Department of Health Services, Tobacco Control Section and the Office of National Drug Control Policy.
Both Mr. Imada and the IW Group are active in the communities they serve, building bridges between corporations and community based organizations. They have given countless hours to help build the capacity of Asian Pacific American organizations, and have provided invaluable media and communications training for community leaders across the country. IW Group staff at every level lends their expertise to the boards of several community-based and national Asian American organizations. In addition, Mr. Imada and his company have been strong advocates for fairness in the media, speaking out against defamatory depictions in advertising. IW Group funded AAJC's groundbreaking 2005 report, "Lights, Camera and Little Action," which analyzed the limited roles for Asian Americans in prime time television programming. Recently, IW Group spearheaded the development of the first Asian Pacific Islander American national college scholarship fund.
Mr. Imada was elected president of the Asian American Advertising Federation (3AF) in 2004, and served on the board of directors for PRSA/Los Angeles. He also serves as a national speaker on multicultural issues and has served as a speaker for trade associations, universities and companies. They include the American Cancer Society, UC Berkeley, Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Association of National Advertisers, Public Relations Society of America, Strategic Research Institute, American Marketing Association, and others. Charlie Sie Aviva Systems Biology Jhemon Lee, MD Los Alamitos Radiology Group Dr. Jhemon Lee is a radiologist and a partner in Los Alamitos Radiology Group. Jhemon grew up in Maryland, received his bachelor's degree in Engineering Sciences at Harvard University, and obtained his medical degree from the University of Maryland. He completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of Chicago, where he was chief resident, and a fellowship in abdominal imaging at Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School in Boston.
Jhemon has been involved in NAAAP for over 15 years. His past roles have included serving as NAAAP National President, President of the Chicago chapter, as a Board Director of the Boston chapter, and as Co-Chair of the 2008 NAAAP National Convention in Los Angeles. He is a past president and current Advisor to the Orange County chapter of OCA and was on the steering committee for the 1997 OCA National Convention in Chicago. He has been a board member, Director of Professional Development and founder of the Healthcare Special Interest Group for Asian Professional Exchange (APEX) in Los Angeles. He is Co-Chair of the Advisory Board for the Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association (APAMSA), Secretary and Executive Committee member of the National Council of Asian & Pacific Islander Physicians (NCAPIP) and a member of the Education Advisory Panel for East West Players.
Honors include being named to "Who's Who in the World," "Who's Who in America" and "America's Top Physicians," and a NAAAP National Lifetime Achievement Award. Jhemon also does acting and improv comedy on the side, as a member of the Advanced Team of Cold Tofu Improv, and taking classes with East West Players' Actors Conservatory. His latest challenge is wedding planning. In the community, she translates her dynamic energy and passion for public service serving on the board of several community organizations such asThe Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, the National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP) Senior Advisory Council, the NAAAP – Orange County Advisory Board, and Teada Productions, donating much of her time and energy empowering organizations that make a positive impact on our society and the Asian Pacific community at large. She is also an active member of the American Counseling Association, the National Speakers Association, the American Hypnosis Association, and American Women in Radio and Television.
Panney is currently finishing a Doctorate in Naturopathy and is the author of several audios, articles, and an upcoming novel. Vu H. Pham, PhD Spectrum Knowledge, Inc. Vu H. Pham is a Partner of Spectrum Knowledge, Inc., a training, research and consulting organization. He also currently serves as a Researcher at the Center for Center for Research on Employment and the Workforce at California State University—Fullerton, as well as the Asian American Studies Center at the University of California, Los Angeles. Previously, he held Research Fellow positions through the University of California Office of the President and the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine.
He has been featured on national and international multimedia venues, such as CNN, MSNBC, Voice of America, The Los Angeles Times, KSCI International Television, Asian Week, Radio Free Asia, and The Orange County Register. His experience includes having worked with companies as large as those from the Fortune 500 to those in governmental and non-profit sectors. Having completed his doctoral degree from Cornell University, Dr. Pham's specialties include the areas of culture, organizational development and leadership. He combines training, data-driven research and consulting to assist clients with identifying and assessing organizational challenges, as well as providing effective solutions. Dr. Pham's clients range in industries that include: Aerospace and Defense, Technology, Financial Services, Accounting, Advertising, Healthcare, Retail as well as Museums and Cultural Organizations. He has also worked with individual clients to optimize their career success. He has been a keynote speaker on multiple occasions and presented at numerous workshops, conferences and retreats internationally and has published in both academic and mainstream publications.
Beyond his professional work, Dr. Pham has participated in generating over a million dollars for non-profit groups and donates countless hours to them. His other honors and roles include being selected as the head of a Smithsonian cultural project and museum exhibit, a Role Model for KSCI International Television's "Our Role Models" series, Board Member of Western University's Capital Campaign, "Entrepreneur of the Year" in California's 49th Assembly District, as well as being an Andrew W. Mellon Fellow, a Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) award recipient, a Chancellor's Scholar at UC Irvine and an Honoree at UCLA. He serves on the Los Angeles Asian Heritage Month Committee.
