NAAAP Executive Officer Duties

President

    1. Be the representative for the Association in all matters involving NAAAP.
    2. Provide leadership and guidance to the Association.
    3. Hold meetings as necessary in the performance of presidential duties.
    4. Be an ex officio member of all committees except the election committee.

Vice President

    1. Assume all the responsibilities of the President in the absence of the President.
    2. Provide long-range planning and proposed schedules for the Association.
    3. Shall track all action items to completion or closure   
    4. Shall interface with, status progress of, and report on committee tasks and activities

Secretary   

    1. Maintain all records and correspondence for the Association.
    2. Send out meeting notices and agenda items requests. 
    3. Keep and present to the Executive Committee minutes from Board meetings, General meetings and Special meetings.
    4. Receive and file committee reports.
    5. Inform those elected or appointed to office or committees. 
    6. Serve as chief administrative support matters for the Association 

Treasurer

    1. Receive funds and deposit them in the financial institution approved by the Executive Board.
    2. Pay bills for expenses that have been authorized.
    3. Maintain all financial records for the Association.
    4. Submit financial reports to the board at the regularly scheduled board meetings or upon request of the Executive Committee.
    5. Monitor and report actual expenditures versus budget.
    6. Prepare an annual year-end financial report.
    7. Prepare and file all financially related forms, including State and Federal tax forms, as necessary.  Coordinate with Legal and Financial (CPA) Counsels as needed 
    8. Collect and secure funds received at meetings and events.
    9. Make change available for program activities.

 

NAAAP Director / Chair Positions

Chair of Marketing / Communications / Public Relations / Technology

    1. Publish and distribute a newsletter to highlight the professional and personal contributions of the Association.
    2. Coordinate all media activities and informational releases with the Executive Committee pertaining to the Association events.
    3. Establish and maintain communications with all organizations internal and external to the Association who has similar and complementary goals and objectives.
    4. Establish and develop relationships with other organizations that can provide resources for the exchange of ideas to improve the professionalism of its members and for the benefit of the individuals and the Company.
    5. Maintain the website on a timely basis

Chair of Membership / Special Events / Community Service / Cultural Awareness

    1. Maintain a list of current members and the status of their membership.  Remind expiring memberships for renewal.  Welcome new members to the Association.
    2. Organize events pertaining to membership signups (i.e. mixers) recruitment and retention of membership activities 
    3. Develop and maintain a computerized Association membership roster and publish an annual directory.
    4. Develop membership recruiting and renewal material.

Chair of Fundraising / Sponsorship / Grant Writing / Corporate Relations

    1. Plan and execute events to increase Association's ability to fund scholarships and other benefits to the Association members, and non-members in need.
    2. Plan and execute other fundraising events as authorized by the Executive Committee.
    3. Create and maintain relations with corporations and solicit sponsorships as authorized by the Executive Committee.
    4. Maintain contact list

Chair of Programs / Professional Development / University Relations           

    1.  Plan and coordinate program activities for the Association. Programs or projects are of professional developement, leadership, educational, etc.             
    2. Coordinate schedules, sites, etc. of proposed programs to met objectives of the Association.              
    3. Maintain relations with professional speakers, presenters, etc. to provide educational and developmental opportunities for the membership.             
    4.  Coordinate with Executive Committee, as needed pertaining to the overall program execution.
